I saw on the news several weeks ago a group of self-avowing homosexuals standing across from a church building singing, "Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so..." Absolutely true! (see John 3:16). But can it be said that THEY love Jesus?

   Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments" (John 14:15). One of the "commandments of the Lord Jesus...is that you abstain from sexual immorality" (1 Thessalonians 4:2,3). Homosexuality IS immoral because the BIBLE says, "it is an abomination...if a man lies with a male as those who lie with a woman" (Leviticus 18:22;20:13). To God, homosex is "degrading," "unnatural," "indecent," and "gross immorality" (cf., Romans 1:26, 27;Jude 7). In a word- SIN! And the Bible tells us: "the one who 
practices sin is of the devil...but whoever keeps His [God] word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected" (1 John 3:8;2:5).

   The Lord's answer to our question above is "NO." Anybody who believes they can practice homosexuality (or ANY other sin for that matter) and still claim allegiance to Jesus and His eternal reward is sorely MISinformed. The Bible is plain: "Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, NOR HOMOSEXUALS,...shall inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9). The homosexual, if he would love the Lord and go to Heaven, must do what ALL forgiven sinners have done: "REPENT and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins,..." (Acts 2:38; see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 again).

   In view of all that God has written AGAINST homosexuality, it is incredible that the practitioner could actually believe that he has the Lord's favor. 
Unfortunately, he is not alone in that deception. Several denominations have 'officially' stated that homosexuality is not a sin and are now appointing them to serve in their local churches.... But, you have read what the Bible says.
